This statement applies to the Taxtool for Income Tax service.
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this service. For example, that means you should be able to:
- navigate the service using just a keyboard;
- navigate using speech-recognition software;
- use the service with a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver);
- zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen.
How accessible this service is
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Most of the service meets this standard. We are aware of the following areas where work is ongoing:
- Some submission and adjustment forms do not yet programmatically link every validation message to its field for screen-reader users.
- Some content that updates after an action (for example, “saved” confirmations loaded in the background) is not yet announced to screen readers in every case.
- The service is currently available in English only.
